News Flash! The Moody Prousts?

Newsflash! Andy inks a deal with The Moody Prousts!

In a deal that took a record 4 years to complete, Andy Manilow finally came to a meeting of the minds with the legendary Moody Prousts. The agreement, said to be written and revised over the course of 4 years, is hinted to be a whopping 2800 pages in length and spread over 7 volumes.
Andy has been quoted saying " My love is my art. And love is a reciprocal torture. It is from this agreement that we will seek to reclaim our lost art. Only through art can we emerge from ourselves and know what another person sees. "

Aproveche!

Electronik Blanket's First VidMash!

Hey Gang!
I've just spent the last week with the guys in Electronik Blanket and the first of many VidMash's is out! It's called " It's a Wonderful Life" and I know you're gonna love it.
As you know, this is my collaboration with some of the usual team- Snappy and Mickey- as well as two guys from Canada- Sven Isitt and Julian Frye. These guys have come together to orchestrate a VidMash. It's really all music and footage- mostly Atomic footage- and simply put through the Manilow/McMartin machine to produce a VidMash.
Visit our YouTube site to see this and all the others from Garaje Gringo, The LeisureTones and now...Electronik Blanket!
Keep smilin' and stay thirsty my friends!

Snappy said What!

Hey Gang !
What's all the fuss and commotion about!!!??!!!
It's a simple case of word leaking out about the new song and video from Andy Manilow and the LeisureTones! Yep, you heard it here.
The new tune - Joy (A Winter's Day) - is here just in time for the change in season and all the kids going back to school. All of you space enthusiasts should get a real kick out of it.
Also- seems Snappy let the cat out of the bag on late night television. While being interviewed, he let the whole thing slip and.....and THEN did the same on FaceBook!!!
Well, here it is, for all of you who have been waiting:

Snappy and Andy Keep 'em Comin'!

Hey Gang!
As promised, Snappy and I have been working hard in the basement to get all of the music we have archived into a digital format and then into video production (Snappy's brother Mickey has been helping out tremendously on that).
Most recently we've polished off "La Busco".

Have a look and a listen to this deep and dark moonchild from me and Garaje Gringo.

Stay Thirsty my friends.

Snappy does it Again!

Hey Gang!
Not a lot to write, but I wanted to let you know that Snappy and I have been down in the basement transferring a bunch of songs from the archives. We're really happy with the quality that we've seen and want to share as we go forward. The first in this endeavor is "A Tu Lado".
Take a moment to go to : http://www.youtube.com/user/AndyManilow
As always, Snappy's brother Mickey is the creative wizard behind the video version.
Well, too much work to do...gotta go!
Stay thirsty my friends.

Snappy Brings it Home!

WOW!
All I can say is an emphatic THANKS to Snappy McMartin and the tapes he unearthed on his trip back to Tijuana. On his most recent trip to visit with his former wife and family, he unearthed a box of demo tapes wedged in the crawl space of Lucita's bungalow just outside of Tijuana. The first tune we could salvage from those tapes was "Siempre Contigo". Take a moment to check it out. Snappy....you're the best man.

The Hits Keep Rollin'!

Hey Gang!
I gotta tell ya...I've been busier than a bartender at the Lohan house!
Anyway, I've been holed up in the studio writing and recording new tunes with both the Leisure Tones and Electronik Blanket. You can expect these to hit YouTube and MySpace in the next month. I'm also taking time out to spend with the family.
Stay in touch friends and stay thirsty...

This Just In!

Hey Gang!
Andy here.
The offers are too much to keep up with.
I just finished 3 nights with the 3 man Filipino group, "The Pinoy Pops" on the cruise ship Norwegian Dawn. The "Pops" (as we all call them- Eduardo, Edgardo and Ernesto) were at their expected best. I had a blast recreating some of the magic from back in the 80's when I lived in Manila. We did an encore that featured some standards from the Bee Gees, Neil Diamond and Zamfir.
Anyway, I've got some other projects in flux. Namely my work with 'Electronic Blanket'. A lot of synth music with an atomic backdrop.
Stay well and see ya soon!

Andy signs up with The Leisure Tones!

Hey Friends,
So, here's the latest news.
You ALL know about my band Garaje Gringo....they are truly some of the best musicians I have ever worked with. Well, seems Snappy McMartin of Garaje Gringo has formed a project band called The Leisure Tones. These guys are half Garaje Gringo (mostly Snappy, Pepe and Quincy) and other session players from the Tri-State area (including 1 guy from Bucks county PA).
Anyway, we're laying down tracks as I write this. Songs and videos to come from Andy Manilow and The Leisure Tones. Better than barbeque!

Where's the beef?

Hey Friends,
This is just a quick-post.
Here's the link to my channel on YouTube....

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by the Cantina!

Who am I anyway?

Well, it seems like it was just yesterday that the band and I were rehearsing for our first world tour. Sure, we had our own complications back then; confusion with other, already popular recording artists, music lessons that didn't seem to pay off and credit card debt that seemed insurmountable. All said, we had high hopes of a world tour and the opportunity to connect with our fans and their sisters. Then, 2 weeks before the kick-off in Branson, Missouri, we got the shattering news that we had been dropped from the record company and that all tour dates were cancelled. The band and I were devastated. Suffice to say, everyone went their separate ways, some back to rehab, others like myself, took refuge in the anonymity and the bustle of Tijuana. I spent nearly 15 years as a resident of the Hotel Palacio Azteca. Playing nightly shows to pay for room and board, I also found time to help with the cooking. Apart from my musical and culinary activities were the women of Tijuana. I only married a few. Gems, I must say. They too dropped me as did my record company some years back. By then all seemed hopeless, that is, until 2008. It was a Sunday morning. The usual police patrols were out handling the post Saturday night trauma and I was sleeping off the remains of the ritual hangover. Yes, on my AM radio, I heard the call. The song sang to me. It was written for me. I don't recall the name of the song, but I knew it was mine. That morning I packed my bag, turned off the radio and stepped out onto Blvd Agua Caliente. I looked around for the very last time before catching a cab to the airport. I've never looked back and now, only see the future. This is my story.
